Both are powered by a single 18V LXT battery， the same battery that powers the full range of solutions in the expanding LXT system. This blower features a compact and ergonomic design， weighing in at only 6.5 lbs. and measuring 32-1/2 in. L. With no carbon brushes， the Makita BL Brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer life and delivers speeds up to 116 MPH air velocity and a full 459 CFM. The efficient brushless motor delivers up to 6，000 RPM for faster cutting with the string trimmer. The string trimmer is equipped with a high/low button for power and run time management. There is also a variable speed trigger， allowing users to match the speed to the application. The easy-loading bump and feed trimmer head is preloaded with 0.080 in. twist line and can be loaded in seconds with 3 easy steps， align， feed and twist. The blower and string trimmer also feature Makita Extreme Protection Technology (XPT). XPT is a protective seal inside the tool and is engineered for improved operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components.
